First Freshet Plots for 2025
Folks it’s that time of year when we keep an eagle eye on the river. Again this year a big thanks to Lane Bishop who has kindly provided us with his water level plots for the 2025 freshet.

Belleisle Watershed Monitoring
The Belleisle Watershed Coalition works in conjunction with government departments, partner watershed organizations and volunteers to provide ongoing monitoring of surface water quality in Belleisle Bay. We aim to provide important information for the community so that they can enjoy the bay and tributaries safely and informed.
Between June and November we conduct:
- Surface Water Quality
- Coliform (E.coli) Bacteria Monitoring
- Cyanobacteria Bloom/Cyanotoxin Monitoring
- Watercourse and Belleisle Bay Temperature Monitoring
- Monitoring of Trace Metals in Belleisle Bay
- Nutrient Monitoring
Monitoring Buoy
The BWC in partnership with HRAA has an algie tracker buoy deployed in Hatfield Point which provides valuable real time data used for water quality monitoring of the bay. To view the buoy data please login below.
